About Amy's Studio
Behind the Movement
Amy's Studio has been a pillar in the DFW dance and theater community since 1961. Our teachers work hard every class to cultivate a shared learning experience where students are encouraged to both ask questions and find the answers together. With children's dance classes, youth dance and theatre programs, as well as adult dance classes, we offer something for everyone.

Our goal in each class is to teach your child not only how to dance, but crucial life skills that will grow your child's ability to succeed. We offer the structure for students to learn from mistakes and celebrate them. We want your child feeling proud of themselves every time they walk out of our door. We are here to build an individualized program to help your child meet their goals and dreams they may have.

Our studio is a family and has supported each other in and out of the building all these years. The culture we have created has bonded students together for life. This is a home away from home. A quality 'dance school near me'.

We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, theater, voice, and countless performance opportunities. We work with children ages 2-18, and adults.
Legacy
Amy studied under Jackie Troup Miller. Jackie was discovered by Bill (Bojangles) Robinson at the age of 13 and moved to California to study under Louis DaPron who was the resident choreographer at Universal Studios. Jackie worked with film studios and nationally known big bands in Hollywood. In addition to dancing professionally nationwide, she has also taught for all major dance teacher organizations and conventions. It is this legacy that we continue at the studio and bring to the next generation of dancers.
